Gallup Poll: McCain 48%, Obama 45% (9/7/2008)
Polls released today show a competitive presidential race in which momentum has, at least for the time being, shifted in the direction of Republican presidential candidate John McCain. The latest Gallup Poll daily tracking update, which was released earlier today, shows McCain leading Democrat Barack Obama, 48% to 45%. The poll has a margin of error of two percentage points. Labor Day "Booze It & Lose It" campaign nets 2,821 DWI Arrests (9/3/2008)
RALEIGH — State Transportation Secretary Lyndo Tippett announced today that state and local law enforcement officers cited 2,821 motorists for driving while impaired during the Labor Day “Booze It & Lose It” campaign, which ran Aug. 15-Sept. 1. A total of 100,424 traffic and criminal citations were issued statewide.
